A couple days ago, I noticed an entry called “Three Books Behind” in my prior years’ links, which inspired me to update my book log and Goodreads account to see how far behind I am this year. Answer: 45 books. So yeah, I’m not going to make it. I didn’t realize how very distracting the transition into retirement would be. At least I didn’t actually bump my goal up to 150 like I talked about last December, or I’d be 91 books behind. I just went to 104 for this year’s goal, two books a week. I didn’t split it between paper and ebooks as I talked about last year, either; maybe I’ll do that for 2016. Though being out here in Idaho, I’m not sure what the library situation is as far as getting books (I really am trying not to buy too many more, especially paper books, what with space and budget constraints being more of a concern now). I mean, I know they have a library, but how big it is and what the interlibrary loan and ebook situations are is unclear. I guess as long as we haven’t sold our Michigan house, I can still use the ebook loans from that library. That will be easier when we get our internet setup at the condo, which is not going well at all at the moment. First world problems, I know.
