Last Friday, I got up earlier than usual and headed to the airport for a quick trip to visit the member of my team who works from her home in Maryland. The business part of the trip went well (and much better than last year, when she thought I was coming out to fire her) and I ended up being able to do some fun stuff, too, like hunt for old cemeteries and even enjoy a short visit to the zoo, which I only ended up at because I had followed the car’s navigation system to a non-existent shipwreck museum—should have double checked on my Droid first—and saw signs along the road for the zoo on my way out of that neighborhood.

Well dang you were right in my neck of the woods! The strange parking garage icon is from Towson Town Center, isn’t it? I work right behind that mall.

Deb, yes it was! I had no idea I’d be so close to your stomping grounds (though I doubt you were still at work when I was at the mall, slipping in before closing to grab some dinner). If I end up making another trip out that way (assuming this woman is stays on my team, and I have no reason to think she won’t), I’ll have to stay long enough to be sure I have time to meet up.

Not to hijack your visit to Deb, but I could drive down from my way too – it’s only 2 hours or so there, I do that drive to the MDS&W Festival each year. (Deb, I haven’t seen you since one of the Cons, right?)
