Woke up on this last day of 2020 to about 8 inches of fresh snow that fell overnight, adding to the foot or so that we’d already gotten in this current current cycle. That was a positive.
Despite all the fresh snow, I thought about not skiing, the better to avoid all the holiday visitors, but I ended up going out for a while. This was ski day 21 this season for me, which I’m pretty sure is a new personal best for the opening day to end of the calendar year period.
When I got home, I shoveled our two balconies, wanting to get the snow off before the next round comes.
It had been cloudy most of the day, but by the time I finished shoveling, there was some blue sky showing. A temporary respite, it seems, as the forecast between now and Sunday morning calls for 15 to 25 more inches. We shall see.
Now I’m showered and in my soft clothes, including my Mickey Mouse Happy Everything sweatshirt, ready to stay in and maybe stay up late enough to see 2021 arrive in this time zone.
