The Children Are Elsewhere

There are no children at this year’s family Christmas, so no rush to get up and get going. I’m typing as quietly as I can since one of the nephews is sleeping in another part of this semi-open concept space. A few other people are awake and moving about in a restrained manner while we wait for the whole crew to assemble. Later we’ll have presents and feasting and games and other family activities. Now I’m going to share some of the Christmas trees I’ve seen this past week, starting with the top two-thirds of mine, seen here with an effect that happened unintentionally but which I like.
This was in the lobby of the hotel we stayed a night at, next to the breakfast area where we did not get breakfast because that ended too early for the likes of us:
