Not Quite a Year in Books

I’ll likely finish a few more books before the year officially ends, but it’s close enough to 2023 to reflect on my 2022 reading. I gave up Goodreads this year in favor of just using StoryGraph, and I haven’t missed that part of the Amazon ecosystem. I haven’t double checked my data entry yet, but I’m confident that it’s mostly correct so I can say that I’ll finish this year having read fewer titles and fewer pages than last year, though I have already surpassed my titles goal of 60. (For at least the second year in a row, I’ll fall short of my pages goal of 25,000.) Romance novels dominate, as I’ve tasked myself with reading at least one title mentioned in each episode of the Fated Mates podcast, something that’s been ongoing for a while and will continue (I’m about a season behind right now). I’m good with that. I need comfort in my reading to balance out the discomfort out in the world.
