A Week in Photos: 2024, Part 29

July 29, 2024

Monday, July 15: Summer is construction season. This pile is debris from the pool area that was taken out from behind one of the condo buildings in the village. Coincidentally, it’s sitting in the parking area where Mr. K and I pulled in the first time we visited the mountain to ski.

Tuesday, July 16: New floor mat to help keep dirt off our new floor.

Floor mat in a stone mosaic tile design laying on a brown vinyl floor in a brown marble design.

Wednesday, July 17: Grasses deserve love, too. I saw these spiky little beauties growing along the side of the road on the walk to the village. The internet tells me this is a dagger-leaf rush.

Plant with brown spiky round seed pods on thin pointy green leaves.

Thursday, July 18: Still wearing press on nails most of the time. Most of those sets don’t have slogans like “Charming. Elegant. Romantic. Always With You.”

Small plastic box with a clear top showcasing a set of fake nails stuck to a white card.

Friday, July 19: Checked into a small motel in a small Washington town and got an actual physical key instead of card like most motels have now. For some reason it also had a decorative key on the ring as well.

Blue key chain tag with the number 1 with two keys attached to the ring. One old fashioned skelton key style, one more modern.

Saturday, July 20: Saw pink wildflowers in Washington that we don’t get on my mountain.

Plant with small pink blossoms. A bee (or maybe wasp) hovers above the plant.

Sunday, July 21: Made it back home from my weekend in Washington to catch the end of the wine fest on the mountain with Mr. Karen. We didn’t buy the glasses with tasting tickets this year, but did take advantage of the food trucks and rode the lift up where it was a bit cooler during this heat wave. In the rush to get down to the village, I left my pass at home, so they printed me the daily pass of shame that says “I Forgot”.
