Monday, January 20: On this inauguration day in the US, I chose socks to express my mood.
Tuesday, January 21: It was time to refresh my hair dye. I do the blue for me, but that it upsets a lot of MAGA voters is a nice bonus.
Wednesday, January 22: Town day. Fortified myself with the last two muffins from a batch I’d made with some egg replacer we’d bought a while back, as eggs are likely to get more scarce and expensive for a while yet. It did not go great, with the muffins not rising well, though they tasted okay. Then I went to pick up a new key fob for the alarm system at the studio, and at first I thought it wasn’t going to work, as the alarm went off on my when I got there, but I was able to turn it off and then arm/disarm properly, which I hadn’t really ever been able to do with the old one even before the recent troubles. Stopped at the grocery store on my way home and was amused by the Seasick Crocodile beer in the clearance section (not amused enough to buy it).
Thursday, January 23: Made another trip to town, coming back fairly late to see that there was already a vehicle stationed ready for Toyota Free Ski Friday, when everyone who drives a Toyota to the mountain gets a free lift ticket. It’s generally quite popular and we generally choose to stay off the slopes that day (though this year it falls during MLK week, so I’d already been avoiding crowds by staying in).
Friday, January 24: Added another icicle to my collection, gathered on a night walk to the village to collect the mail.
Saturday, January 25: Didn’t take any pictures suitable for this diary, but did work on many Happy Color pictures. This screenshot from my in progress queue shows dailies and mystery (one I’ve paired up and some I haven’t) and part of one of my “spacer” pairs.
Sunday, January 26: Gorgeous day for a walk.
